Each artist, in one way or another, forms a community: being a creator in the field of art, he is able by means of visual expression to express human feelings that have passed through the prism of his subjective life experience. However, he cannot be considered a teacher of virtue, a political leader or philosopher. The artist denounces human actions, but this does not mean that he himself can be considered a moral authority. In his creative utterances, the artist is not above other people at all, he is not capable of being either a moral authority or a preacher of religious ethics, neither good nor bad. Nevertheless, the life behind each of his works fully justifies what was created. Having understood and considered the life of the creator, each viewer has the opportunity to isolate useful truths for himself, to transfer part of the moments to his personal event space and to think about global matters.

David was born in a difficult family, where he suffered from several traumatic events that made him feel hatred for himself and isolation from the outside world. The first 20 years he spent in sunny California. During that period, David was in a variety of professions, which formed in him the line of movement from creation to destruction. The second image, living in the guy, could not break free. At that moment he thought that only death would save him and lead him out of the vicious circle. So David got into an accident on a motorcycle, and against all odds, survived. It was then that our protagonist realized that everything was already in him. All the decisions he had or hadn’t taken were what shaped his environment. Since then, he has realized that change will not happen until he himself changes. David began to act on the principle of "Turn everything upside down." So, from sunny California, he moved to Novosibirsk. So he gave up his destructive work, became a teacher, but, most importantly, he began to create more than earlier. The art and, especially, the opportunity to engage in it, cured the soul of David. Reflections transferred to canvases turned into material now leave the creator's head and begin to live an independent life.

I suggest that you begin acquaintance with the exposition naturally, from the first hall. Here you will discover the life of David before all the changes that happened with his move to our city. This is a story from his drawings, sketches, which became alternate frames. You can perceive this as a prologue to the main exhibition part and try to understand what exactly led David to the decision to change his life.

In the main and last halls you will come in contact with the picturesque and graphic works of David. Every decision is a peeped situation in our city. You will definitely know certain places, people. But color acquires a completely different reading. I will call the color gamma of David exalted, based on a large tonal contrast and color pair. Such a solution, together with the plasticity of the color planes, certainly casts the viewer to the style of the beginning of the 20th century - to Fauvisme (from French fauve - wild) .The works clearly read: the dynamics of the picture, spontaneity, the desire for emotional stress. David's are: intense bright color, purity and sharpness, intensely open local shades, contrasting chromatic planes.

Analyzing the plastic and comparing it with the life path of the artist, we understand that they are these statements that make him a truly happy person. The person who can learn decisiveness, readiness to change his life, take timely and necessary measures. As observers, each of us is able to realize that everything in this life is in our hands.
